Northern General
General
1. The Northern Region Branch covers generally a line from above Taranaki to Mt Ruapehu to East Cape, north to Cape Reinga in the North Island. Post codes go from 0100 to 3999.
2. The Northern Branch has a Chairperson. The Northern Branch has it's own bank account as a suffix of the Sappers Association [NZ] Inc main bank account [see para 9].
Districts
3. The Northern Branch has four Districts as listed below. Also listed are recent social functions attended by five people or more. This is shown in the format of date:number attended [login is needed for names];
(a) Northland District.
(b) Auckland District: 19Dec:5.
(c) Waikato District.
(d) Bay Of Plenty District: 12Dec:8, 10Feb:12.
4. There is a District Moderator position for each District. Districts have their fundraising displayed on separate lines within the Northern Branch audited annual accounts showing Performance and Position [see para 9].
Sappers Day
5. Sappers Day Church Service is held on the nearest Sunday to 15 October each year at St Davids' Church, Khyber Pass Road, Grafton, Auckland. It normally starts at 1000 hours. All Sappers welcome. Medals, Jacket and Tie please. A public Event is displayed.
6. Some Districts hold Sappers Day on the actual day with a public Event a week before [login needed for month before to read the District web page].
Kindred Organisations
7. The Northern Territorial Force Troop banks it fundraising with the Northern Branch, shown on separate lines of the audited annual accounts Performance and Positon [see para 9]. The Northern TF have consistantly provided the uniformed contingent for St Davids' Church Sappers service parade.
8. The Waihi Tunnellers representing decendents of the WWI Sapper Tunnellers have had Northern Branch Flag Bearers at various ceremonies over recent years.
