Otago South General

Web pages for Otago South Branch, Otago and Southland don't appear on the Menu until after login. Also needed to view any of those pages is that distict is checked in your Profile [between City and Country] if you live there, or checked in 'View OTHER District pages' if you don't live there.

General 

1.  The Otago South Region Branch covers generally a line from below the Waitaki River to Haast in the South Island, south to Stewart Island. Post codes go from 9000 to 9999.

2.  The Otago South Branch has a Chairperson [currently vacant]. The Otago South Branch has it's own bank account as a suffix of the Sappers Association [NZ] Inc main bank account [see para 9].

Districts

3. The Otago South Branch has two Districts as listed below. Also listed are recent social functions attended by four people or more. This is shown in the format of date # number attended [login is needed for names & venue];

(a)  Otago District: 15Oct22#17

(b)  Southland District: 11Nov24#5, 13Oct24#9, 17Nov21#9.

4.  There is a District Moderator position for each District. Districts would have their fundraising displayed on separate lines within the Otago South Branch audited annual accounts showing Performance and Position [see para 9].

Sappers Day

5.  Sappers Day Church Parade is held on 15 October each year at The Gardens, Dunedin. It normally starts at 0545 hours. All Sappers welcome. Medals, Jacket and Tie please.

6.  Some Districts hold Sappers Day on the actual day with a public Event published a month beforehand and notified a week before [login needed for over a month before to read the District web page].

Kindred Organisations

7.  The 2nd Troop 3rd Field Squadron was a Territorial Force unit in Dunedin, disbanded about 1991.
