Web pages for Central Branch, Manawatu Whanganui and Wellington Wairarapa don't appear on the Menu until after login. General

1.  The Central Region Branch covers generally a line from below Taranaki to Mt Ruapehu to East Cape, south to Cook Strait in the North Island. Post codes go from 4000 to 6999.

2.  The Central Branch has a Chairperson [currently vacant]. The Central Branch has it's own bank account as a suffix of the Sappers Association [NZ] Inc main bank account [see para 9].

Districts

3. The Central Branch has five Districts as listed below. Also listed are recent social functions attended by four people or more. This is shown in the format of date # number attended [login is needed for names & venue];

(a)  Taranaki District.

(b)  Whanganui Manawatu District: 24Jul26#4.

(c)  Wellington Wairarapa District.

(d)  Hawkes Bay District:

(e)  Gisborne District

4.  There is a District Moderator position for each District. Districts have their fundraising displayed on separate lines within the Central Branch audited annual accounts showing Performance and Position [see para 9].

Sappers Day

5.  Sappers Day Church Parade is held on 15 October each year at The Square, Palmerston North. It normally starts at 0545 hours. Also Memorial Square, Carterton 0600 hours. All Sappers welcome. Medals, Jacket and Tie please.

6.  Some Districts hold Sappers Day on the actual day with a public Event published a month beforehand and notified a week before [login needed for over a month before to read the District web page].

Kindred Organisations

7.  The Engineer Corps Memorial Centre is inside Linton Military Camp and has a museum.

8.  The 2nd Engineer Regiment and School of Military Engineering is located at Linton Military Camp.
