This reconnaissance of Wellington is primarily aimed at holding a Decade 1960-69 Do and later a Decade 1980-89 Do social function at the Porirua RSA in a couple of months time. It involves finding out about the set up of the Wellington Army Leave Centre about 20 km from Porirua.

Those members who may wish to start thinking about a one evening Decade Do social function at Porirua RSA for their own era of the 1950s, 1980s, 1990s, 2000s & 2010s may want to come along for the night. About eight years ago we held a couple of Decade Do's at the old Taupo RSA and found that over a dozen people in each case were willing to travel long distances to have a few drinks with their old mates.
