This reconnaissance of Wellington is primarily aimed at holding a Decade 1990-99 Do and later a Decade 2000-09 Do social function at the Porirua RSA in a years time. It involves finding out about the set up of the Wellington Army Leave Centre about 20 km from Porirua.

Those members who may wish to start thinking about a one evening Decade Do social function at Porirua RSA for their own era of the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, 2010s & 2020s may want to come along for a night [bring your own sheets & pillow case if staying only one night]. About eight years ago we held a couple of Decade Do's at the old Taupo RSA and found that over a dozen people in each case were willing to travel long distances to have a few drinks with their old mates.
